Mysore Se Ooty Part 4 .....
So hum log after breakfaat all geared up started our safar .... we were stunned seeing the beauty of "mother earth"... me n surya stuck in the back seat with all the luggage cudnt enjoy the greenary .... fro us everything was brown mixed ... coz we were watching from the galss which cudnt be opened :( .... initially it was fine ... we were concentrating on the views .... later we reached the Bandipur forest area ......... there we both started (me more rebelling actually ) fighting for our rights ... we told that it was unfair that we had to sit at the back n that we cudnt see nything much etc etc ... in the meanwhile we saw a herd of deer in the jungle ... joyee cracked a pj telling that it was their play ground .... then we saw a deer with huge horns just beside the road ...we were so close to it ... it was posing for the foto actually :) but later we realised that it was scared of the photographer who was accompanied by another fellow on the bike ... n this guy was trying to go close n take pic ...so it was getting scared..nyways we got a nice view of it ... full happy with the cute and innocent animal's darshan we continued .... everywhere we got to see the board which said that it is elephant zone but no elephants ... the boards had a cute appu drawn on them .... all of us were concentrating more on the jungle just to get a glimpse of the wild animals .... finally after a long distance we found some monkeys ... joyee was sooo excited ... when i told some info bout monkeys they made fun of me telling "ya one monkey is inside the qualis too "..... they tooks some pics ..... and we continued ... after many many boards we found a tamed elephant !! we had to stop on our way to pay some taxes and all those formalities .... then as we went forward we started feeling the chill of the hill station ...... the straight road started curving ... vegetation started thinning ... tall sky reaching trees started appearing .... we could feel that we are climbing up the ghats ...we ather was just awsome .... and we enjoyed the nature to the max!! we stopped somewhere in the middle where there was a view point ... we then got to know that it was "frog hill" ...actually a hill there was looking like a frog.... jumbo discovered a falls there which was just a thinnnnnnnnnnn stream of water falling downfrom a height of 1 feet and did a naamkaran to that as "frog falls".... we then got in and started again .... lovely music playing .... all of us humming ... rather couple of us humming ...then i started singing when the music stopped there ... hiresh n joyee also joined .... after that as i had the whole seat to myself i lied down and took a smaaaaaaaaal nap .... we passed by a beautiful jharna but as it was drizzling we didnt get down ....
we were climbing up the ghats ...we saw the nilgiri plantation ... the trees weree reaaaaaaaaaaalllly talll .... on both sides of the road... we stopped at a point to capture this beauty in our cameras .... journey again ... coffee plantations and tea estates ...never seen before such a beautiful scene !! felt like having hot hot tea in that chill hcill weather !!
On the way there were people selling fresh carrots .... surya was sitting in the front seat with jumbo and she was excited to see them ... she wanted to buy them ... but jumbo kept arguing as to why she wanted them .... as they wud dry up by the time she reached home ... she said she wanted to have them right then ...so finally they bought .... i was in my sleep ... was very sleepy .... then woke up .... all fresh ...we had reached ooty .... all of us as usual hungry !! looking out for a hotel at around 2.45 or so .... we thought we cud have soemthing and then see the botanical garden and leave .... we didnt know that looking out for lunch in ooty was worse than traesure hunt in the himalayas..... our driver dropped us at a place and suggested us to go to some hotel there .... we started walking .... oour hunt for food had begun ...we knocked every hotel's dooor ... half of them had closed .., nother half food over coz of unexpected crowd itseems ... :(...we finally decided to survive on burger and chocolates .... i didnt want to ... then i asked jumbo to chk in a hotel just next to where we had decided to ahve burger ...and yeeeeeeeeh that had some food ! we were soo happy ... we went in there .... quite good restaurant ... jay n jumbo went to get some chocs ,...we 4 ordered for paper masala dosas ... joyee n hiresh packed a sandwich too ... me sipped hot masala tea tooo hiresh is one more who gives me company for tea ..... so we done with lunch+ snacks ..... came out we then walked upto the boatnical garden.. on the way we saw fresh orange carrots .. n also saw a lot of people mostly ladies carrying yellow flowers .... we were wondering whats so spl bout them .. then we got to know that the flower stays fresh for a year ... jumbo felt it wasnt worth taking them home and keeping them ...... we reached the garden .... found it toooooo crowded and also it was getting late for us ...it was 5.45 already ...so dumped the idea of going to the garden .... surya wanted to buy carrots ...we bought them and then i was holding it in my hand when we saw a goat following us for that ... i put all the leaves but still it was following..finally some how got rid of it and got into the vehicle ..... the journey back .... we had travelled a little distance when joyee started feeling sick and so we had to stop for a while ..... then they both sat in the from ... surya n jumbo shifted back ....... then .... after some time it started getting boring ... as all were senti bout the trip getting over i guess ;) ... i then jumped to the front seat ...full adjustment ...4 sitting in 3 ppls seat .... then started singing all tamil songs which were being played ...most of them had a hindi version too ... so it was fun ...all 4 of us singing ... surya trying to shut my mouth so that i dont confuse them ... at one point our driver stopped the music as it was a curvy road something called hairpin road ... and it was risky to drive with loud music .....Music started again .... i was trying to understand teh songs ...and all 3 tamil experts were trying to make me understand ...i noticed oen thing that lots n lots of these tamil songs had a ref to kodi ( koli in kannada ... hen in english ) he he .... then they tried to convince me that not many have ...its only that these songs had thats all .... jumbo was telling me the meaning of songs .... so thus the journey continued .... and songs were being sung and also were danced for .... the journey continued and then at some point we felt the need of a otel to have our dinner .... by then the seating arrangemnts had changed i was back to my back seat with surya ,... jumbo back to his "leading driver" seat...joyee n hireesh in the middle seat ...in a comfortable position to sleep ...jay staring outside the window ... it was dark ..... outside no lights jungle hi jungle ..me n surya kept singing and moving our hands to the lovely music .... others were all in their respective dream lands....we didnt disturb them .... we got to know that we are nearing blore and that we had not found a single hotel for dinner .... but then had to compro a bit so we sacrificed out dinner ;).... then we dropped joyee n hiresh ... joyee handed over the gifts which she had got ... then headed towards ... EC .... then i got down ... it was 1.00 a.m.. then underwent a couple of rounds of checking b4 i reached my room .... got a msg form these guys that they had reached too after around half an hour ........
hmmm thus came to an end of our trip ... it was good .. only mistake was visiting ooty which we wont repeat when we go for the next ...are apni mistakes se hi tho seekhenge na !! chodo woh sab abhi trip khatam waapas blore ...aur aaj mein waaps to my town :D
